“Sharing the story of God for discipleship using all the stories of the Bible“
Disciple-making using the story of God and all the stories of the Bible
☐ | If stories comprise most of the Bible…how can we use them to grow as disciples? |
☐ | Can we intentionally learn and share Bible stories in order to grow disciples? |
Calling innovative, energetic, serious youth groups and parents and leaders
☐ | If you are 18-32 years old with a passion to follow Jesus, we invite you to talk with others in your youth or young adult group and then contact us to explore possibilities. mailto:info@BibleTelling.com |
☐ | Help us design a BibleTelling discipleship program using the stories of the Bible! |
Some starter thoughts on program content to get us started * Select/develop and learn and practice several whole Bible story presentation methods * Select and learn and share 12 Bible stories * Research the context of the Bible stories (e.g., geography, timeline, history, cultures) * Study “Life Skills from the Book of Proverbs” * Use a defined disciple-making plan, app, or approach that emphasizes learning and sharing Bible stories * Commit to leading a weekly Bible story telling/discussion group (minimum 1-2 others) * Meet bi-weekly with a parent, pastor, youth leader, or other mentor for relationship development |
Tell the stories of Jesus on location…in Israel!
☐ | Tours of Israel are often high-cost and low-energy vacations–mostly for older (often retired) people |
☐ | Design a lower-cost, activity-rich, Bible storytelling seminar for younger disciples! |
Some thoughts to get us started * Focus on the locations and stories in the life of Jesus * Low/er cost (e.g., stay in hostels or 3-star hotels, 2 meals/day) * High energy options (e.g., climbing, hiking, farming, swimming) * Culture-mmersive options (e.g., include and/or interact with local young adults and youth, faith groups) * Summer-time (school vacation time, less expensive in Israel-Jordan) |
