On the day Jesus rose from the dead, he appeared to women in the morning, and to men in the afternoon. This story, taken from Luke 24:13-45, gives what happen the second half of the day. He appears to two disciples as they walked down a road heading home. Later that evening, he appears to the rest of his disciples. It is told by storyteller John Walsh.

Resurrection

The story starts with the angel rolling back the tombstone before sunrise Sunday morning. The starts a series of events: women coming to the tomb at sunrise and find it empty, Mary Magdalene running back to the disciples, the other women seeing angels, Peter and John going to the tomb and finding it empty, Jesus appearing to Mary Magdalene, Jesus appearing to the other women, and the disciples not believing that Jesus actually rose from the dead. Crucifixion

This is a story that covers the events of our Lord’s crucifixion. It was filmed in 2009, and was a part of the “Mission’s Story Set.” The story starts with Jesus being condemned by Pilate and beaten by the Roman guards. It then goes through the six hour he was on the cross, ending with his burial. The story is taken from Matthew 27:27-60; Luke 23: 27-43; John 19:17-42
